Biography

Shayaan has over 12 years of experience in Investment Banking & Global Markets across MENAT and Asia. He joined the DCM platform in 2023 and is focused on the origination, advisory, structuring and execution of debt capital market instruments in the conventional, Sukuk and ESG formats, having raised more than USD 10 Billion for strategic global clients across the rating and capital spectrum.

In his previous role, he led the global structured loans’ syndicate desk at ENBD, responsible for the sales and trading of syndicated, trade, and distressed assets; in the role, he executed more than USD 150 Billion of primary and secondary deals for clients across the SSA, industrials, real estate, commodities, FI, education, and aviation space in the conventional, Islamic and hybrid formats.

He started his banking career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Hong Kong, rotating through APAC FICC & Equity Linked Products. He holds a BSc. in Finance from the Kelley School of Business, USA.
